The Social Security Corporation Organizes a Workshop designated to Acquaint its Media Committees with Maternity and Unemployment Insurance.

The SSC Information Center has organized a Maternity and Unemployment Insurance Workshop for these insurances which will come into effect on the 1st of September 2011. This workshop is designed for the members of SSC media committees working in the SSC offices located in all governorates within the Kingdom. The Information Center stated that this workshop will take place on Wednesday, the 13th of July 2011 to elucidate the main features of new insurances. Furthermore, it will clarify the adopted mechanism, covered categories, application themes, and the positive reflections of these insurances on employers, laborers and society at large. This workshop intends to present some working papers; the first working paper is “Maternity Insurance and its Positive Reflection on Working Women”, while the second working paper discusses “Unemployment Insurance and its Reflection on the Labor Market and Workforce Protection". The third working paper reviews “Themes of the Information Center's Media Plan for the Purpose of Introducing New Insurances to the Public”. Afterward, brainstorming sessions will follow with the participation of media committee members in order to identify the Mechanisms and Awareness Raising Campaign, which the media committees will handle in order to acquaint local community as well as establishments located within the geographical locations covered by the SSC branches with the new insurances; their importance and all financial obligations resulting after these insurances come into effect. In addition, lectures, workshops and relevant issues will be identified throughout this brainstorming session.
