Due to a profound belief of our Hashemite leadership in the necessity of paying a great attention to the Laborer and making the respectable and accessible life for him/her, and starting off the late King Al-Hussein Bin Talal statement: “ human being is the worthiest entity we have”, the Royal Decree was issued to enact the Social Security Law in 1978 as a provisional law, where the Social Security Corporation was founded as an independent administrative and financial organization accordingly, the Social Security Law was implemented on 01/01/1980. The Royal Support continued to take place with His Majesty King Abdullah II wherein the new Social Security Law was enacted and enforced on 01/06/2001, complying with his Majesty's instructions; "The time has come to deal with the issue of pensions the way it deserves … the pensioners have performed their duties toward their country and we have to preserve their rights and pensionary savings….". The Corporation meanwhile aspires to translate the directions of HM King Abdullah II in order to achieve a distinguished, pioneer, and ideal level in all of its fields.
